(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An exquisite collection of more than 60 handwritten treatises have been donated to the Manuscripts Treasury of the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi by Muhammad Sadeq Zamani Borujeni.According to the reports issued from Astan Quds Razavi website, Muhammad Sadeq Zamani from Isfahan donated these handwritten treatises to the Imam Reza (A.S.) library in his visitation with the Head of Manuscripts Office of the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Center of Deeds of Astan Quds Razavi.Sayyed Muhammad Reza Fazel Hashemi, the Head of Manuscripts Office of the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and Center of Deeds of Astan Quds Razavi appreciated him and described endowment (Waqf) as a useful action and reminded, "Enjoying a huge collection of the works of great scholars of the Islamic world, the Library of Astan Quds Razavi possesses a large amount of great treasuries of written heritage."Describing the donated treatises as a precious collection of old and modern handwritten manuscripts some of which inscribed by the writer and others inscribed by the donator, he said, "Dorre-ye Najafieh (the Pearl of Najaf), Tarigh al-Nejat (the way of salvation), the translation of elegies of Haj Muhammad Karim Khan Zamani, Abvab al-Jinan (Doors of the Paradise) and Asrar al-Shahadat (the Secrets of Martyrdom) are some titles of these handwritten books."The king of the world librariesStating that the aim of donating this collection to Imam Reza (A.S.) Library is to be enlisted among the endowers and donators of Astan Quds Razavi, Muhammad Sadeq Zamani Borujeni said, "the library of Astan Quds Razavi is the king of the world libraries and some unique books from across the world have been gathered in it."Muhammad Sadeq Zamani Borujeni asserted, "Regarding the impossibility of reserving these ancient handwritten works and their gradual decay at home, I highly recommend those who have such books to donate them to the library of Astan Quds Razavi to be preserved here in a completely scientific way."It is notable that the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi enjoys a great treasury of ancient handwritten manuscripts and it is ready to attract these handwritten works and historical deeds by endowing, donating or buying to preserve these cultural works./129
